I totally credit DJ Funktual with the idea of creating a list of my own favorites on HubPages!... perhaps because I wasn't on his list of crushes and wanted to do things on my own terms :)

I thought of writing this hub after looking at "How not to find a mail order bride" by FUNNEBONE, one of my favorite hubbers. His hub How to make your stripper girlfriend presentable to your family includes a picture of a regular-looking family at the top, and begins with, "So your new girlfriend is a stripper, dancer, exotic entertainer, circus freak or whatever you may want to call it. How do you introduce her to your family and tell them you date her? Very carefully."

The topics are catchy and the commentary is brash and shameless. There's a lot of wit and awareness in his writing. And not only are his hubs great, but his comments are pretty funny too.

I am also a pretty big fan of JAMESTEDMONDSON, maybe because he is from the same area where I live and I can relate to him and his age and stuff, but I find him a funny guy, especially when he says in his hub How to ask a girl to dance:

  • I am enjoying the fruits of having confidence and charm.
  • I am the bomb.
  • Any girl would be incredibly lucky to go out with me.
  • I am delighted with excitement because (girl's name) said she would love to go out with me.

What a humble guy!

I certainly appreciate the humourous insight of RODNEY SOUTHERN as a father trying to understand the things lost in the generation gaps. His hubs like Does Hip Hop Really Need Lil' Wayne's Lollipop? and The Rules for Dating my Daughter - Follow Them Carefully are great... some of his "rules" include:

  • The boy had best not have his pants dragging the ground with his butt crack showing to me.
  • The boy must be willing to date on my couch with me in the room for the first three dates.
  • All boys must be smaller than my girls - I do realize the emotional ramifications of forcing my girls to date boys smaller than them, but in a tough situation my girls will have the physical edge.
  • Finally, the boy had better be able to behave himself during our acceptance dinner.

While we're at it, why not help out ROCKINJOE and Please Rate My Wife's Naked Chest? I think you'll enjoy it. You may also enjoy reading about his traumatic experience in When Skunks Attack. Clearly rockinjoe has a lot of advice to impart from his own experiences. He also cautions often about perverts and weirdos, so if you have a bad case of stalking, you may want to read his hubs.

A hubber I discovered to my delight was Bueller's Way, whose hubs about ferrets make me happy. I was also happy with his love of small, furry animals, similar to my own love for them :) Please see his Ferrets hub and get a sense of his subtle, dry humor. I hope we will see more great hubs from this ferret-loving guy, bike-riding guy.

This was the first hub of his I read, and it hooked me!

I most recently discovered JerryG2 in clicking on the featured Hub Where Should I Immigrate? For some reason, I thought this would be a serious Hub, but upon further reading, my mind changed quickly. The Hub discussed the pros and cons of certain countries, which meant plenty of reasonable political and cultural humor. For instance, the pros and cons of living in Australia:

"Positives of moving to Australia: * 1) Swearing up a storm can be socially acceptable * 2) Diverse and incredible wildlife (only found on this continent) * 3) Raucous parties * 4) Tons and tons of cool slang * 5) Watching Aussie rules football is absolutely awesome

Negatives of moving to Australia: * 1) Swearing up a storm can be socially acceptable * 2) Diverse and incredible wildlife (tons of it extremely venomous or dangerous to human beings - it's like the continent designed to kill people) * 3) Raucous parties * 4) Is the following phrase good, bad, or embarrassing?: "I was hangin' with bastards when a battler cutting loose ate all the avos, drank all the coldies till he chundered all over at the cockie's barbie, leaving us all gobsmacked." Answer: embarrassing for the blue collared man barely getting by. * 5) Playing Aussie football hurts like bloody h**l."

And you can't forget Canada! "Positives of moving to Canada:

Positives of emigrating to Canada: * 1) Cheap/free health care * 2) Low crime rates * 3) Great fishing * 4) Much better beer (don't even try arguing against this one unless you're from Alaska) * 5) You get to say "You Hoser."

Negatives of emigrating to Canada: * 1) Curling is a serious sport * 2) Dollar coin nicknamed 'The Loon.' * 3) The football field looks funny, and the rules feel strange * 4) Two words: Bryan Adams * 5) Two more words: Metric System. Do you really know how far away 173 kilometers is?"

I was wondering when I was going to see a good one about the yield of the musical fruit... Thanks to this Hub from marisuewrites, I had several laughs (including from some great comments to it!). For instance, her No. 3 top embarrassing place to pass gas:

"3. When you're riding in the car, and you notice his leg stiffen and press against the floorboard...roll the window down, quick. Don't ask questions, just do it. Even the dog moves to the back of the car. It'll take about 20 miles to air everything out, so just be patient. What I don't get is...the dog looks at me funny, too. Like his master is so perfect. I get no respect."

Most recently, I was discovered by Christoph Reilly, and I would feel so inconsiderate and out-of-touch if I were to leave him off this list, what with this iBoob and iPads and ramblings... you'll just have to see yourself.

I hope I never grow up.

Thanks for the laughs, everyone.

I'm going to keep adding to this... I have to go to class now, but in the meantime, feel free to add your funniest hubbers via comment! Thanks!

I agree on this one, he is always making my laugh! That one "If I wanted to pay for your kids, I would have slept with your wife" is not only funny, but also true!

I can't really think of anyone of the top of my head, but I did read one of the funniest hubs the other day: http://hubpages.com/hub/pit-bulls

I don't know if you will it. But I was cracking up for hours.

Great hub, I can't wait to read more. Are you going to do top 10 or top 100 or are you going through all the hubbers in order of how funny they are?

Tayler!

Thanks Glassvisage, I spent the morning going through the hubs and hubbers you listed. I should have been working but I figured laughing would be better for me. And I laughed, and laughed, and laughed. I am still laughing.

Cheers I owe you one.

Very true, ladies... they are very funny. I do like Shadesbreath's Amoeba Farm Hub (http://hubpages.com/_fcap/hub/Amoeba-Farms-and-Oth for one. I just pick Hubbers who actually make me laugh out loud with their Hubs... Please feel free to point me in the direction of any Hubbers and particular Hubs! I always love a good laugh :)

This Hub has been around for two years and I'm just now finding it. At any rate, it's an honor to be included, but the part you quoted from me wasn't a joke.

My brother Cameron is the funniest to me on HubPages. http://hubpages.com/profile/camedmondson
