Romantic dinner ideas
79I love romantic dinners!
There are so many awesome parts about romantic dinners!
- Girls love to dress up. They love feeling pretty and having the chance to impress their dinner date. It's also a great opportunity to buy and show off nice dresses and accessories.
- It's nice to feel rich for a night! Or at least a little classy, with candlelight and expensive food and tablecloths and fancy dress.
- The food is awesome (most of the time, but not necessarily).
There are also so many occasions to enjoy a good, fancy dinner, whether for dances, dates, family, anniversaries, or even just friends. You can try a variety of different restaurants for a change or you can stick with what you know and love. There will always be fancy restaurants to enjoy; it's something that won't go out of style (unless you have done it too much as a couple and you don't enjoy it anymore).
Make it fancy and expensive
It's a special occasion, so why not make it apparent? Once-in-a-while things can be savoured and thus seem all the more important. And maybe some girls dig the whole "I can buy you anything you want" sort of thing.
Plus it usually means buying things to wear that are fun and special and pretty.
I have enjoyed a few fancy romantic dinners in my time, so here are my ideas on how to have a quality lovey-dovey repast :)
Go somewhere exotic
It might be distracting, but the allure is catching in Mexico, on the beaches of Hawaii, or even at the Rainforest Cafe (well, maybe not the Rainforest Cafe). It's fun and new and often beautiful or enchanting and different. Different is romantic and daring.
Try someplace commonplace
You can go outside on the balcony, have a picnic in the park, or go to In-N-Out (that's where my friends and I went for prom). It might seem like no fun, but it really is; that way you can focus on your date and on conversation, and not worry about your pocketbook.
"Different" ideas for a romantic dinner
- The fortune-cookie mush message :)
- A concert! Hot dogs and Slurpees and all the other junk that ends up all over you at a show. I guess that includes movies too. Popcorn and crap
- Bring roses and pretty things! A lot of girls like shiny things. Bring something dorky, like pencil sharpeners if she's that type of chick.
- Dance at dinner! Even if you can't dance, at least you can make the effort.
- Cook yourself! If it's bad then at least you've had fun making it with the person. Or you've shown you care.

Makeup is fine as long as the girl doesn't over do it - which a lot of girls do for some unknown reason.
I like any beach idea, or whipping up a meal yourself for your special lady. I'm one of the few guys I know who loves to cook - I could watch food network any time of day, haha. The science lover in me relates to Alton Brown more than anyone on that network... but I love Giada too... she's like the perfect girl, cute little Italian who can cook. That's all it takes for me!
I'm all for the cheesy slow music and the cheesy slow dance.
It’s a great article. I loved to read it. Last night I was searching for some good feelings sharing sites on internet and suddenly I found an awesome site for sharing our feelings. If anybody wants to do then just visit http://www.lastnightwas.com and post their feelings like me in this site.
Really nice hub! Like the ideas very much. Dating with someone is really fun and ONLINE DATING can also be cool idea. I have a hub on online dating. Joined your fanclub and would like to invite you to join mine.
I totally agree. Romantic dinners spice up a relationship. It a chance to put your best self forward. I think for anybody to be in a relationship, he or she should make an effort to have romantic dinners once in a while.
Me too, it really does mix things up and bit and make it not so boring. Plus it shows how they r thinking about you. My boyfriend took me on a romantic picnic by the lake that i will never forget. I completely agree with the makeup. Maybe we should draw a line for modeling and halloween vs. real life?
Some cute ideas here... I need to learn how to cook!
My wife and I recently got married and decided from the beginning to make sure we have a weekly date night. She has a son that's 2-1/2 and I have a son that's 20 years old. Every Tuesday is date night. The oldest goes to his mother's and the youngest spends the night with her parents.
Dinners may be a night on the town or dinner and a movie at home. The nights out are planned by me as I know what she likes and plan accordingly. I make sure she has to do nothing but be ready to go. A night at home is us cooking together then lady's choice for the movie.
The key for us is to not let the rest of the world hone in on our time together like it always seems to do the rest of the week. Tuesday nights are our nights together unless the little guy is sick and needs attention. He has to come first and does.
Set aside one night every week then stick to it. This helped my mother-in-law and father-in-law maintain a 35 year marriage.

Cute hub =). My husband and I both enjoy it when I blow-dry my hair all nice and put on smokey eye shadow when we want to spend an evening together.
